ABOUT ME
I am Noemie, a psychotherapist working with adults, adolescents,
and children.
My work is grounded in the belief that while past experiences cannot be
changed, the way we experience and relate to them can shift over time.
I am particularly drawn to working with people who feel anxious,
overwhelmed, or stuck— especially when words do not feel accessible
or sufficient.
I am interested in the spaces where language reaches its limits.
Experiences such as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or the impact of
the past are not always easy to articulate. Over time, I have found that creative and sensory
ways of working can offer another form of listening—one that does not rely solely on talking or explanation.
In my sessions, I aim to offer a calm, attuned, and respectful space. We work at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to safety, choice, and what feels right in the moment. I do not push for insight or change; instead, I work alongside you, noticing what emerges and supporting understanding as it unfolds over time.
My approach is integrative, with a creative and process-focused orientation. I place importance on contact with materials—such as colour, image, or movement—as a way to support expression and restore a sense of movement when things feel stuck or held.
No previous experience or skill in art is required. The focus is not on making something “good,” but on the process itself and what it allows to be noticed.
Professional background
I hold a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy and am fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I am also a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and work in accordance with their ethical framework for good practice.
I hold a BA in Fine Arts, which informs my process-focused and material-based approach to therapy.
Before training as an art psychotherapist, I spent over ten years working in a high-pressure corporate environment. This experience continues to inform my understanding of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the impact of sustained stress.
Alongside my core training, I have undertaken additional training in trauma-informed practice and bilateral movement, which I integrate into my work where appropriate.
